Interlogue No. 1: Rituales is a conceptual art book featuring black-and-white photographs by Jan Rattia, an artist from Caracas now based in Brooklyn. This book is a personal memoir, capturing Jan's life through images of queer bodies and nods to art history. His photos create an internal dialogue, blending memories with present experiences, and capturing feelings that are hard to describe.
Jan Rattia is a Caracas-born New York-based artist working with ideas about belonging, representation, and otherness through photography. His photographs have been exhibited and published internationally, including solo shows in New York, Houston, and Philadelphia. Rattia’s work is held in many public and private collections, most notably the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. He is a Fellowship recipient at the Houston Center for Photography and a former Studio Artist at Atlanta Contemporary.
