One of the original Fox professional bassoons, the Model 201 is a modern version of one of Hugo Fox’s original designs. The Fox Model 201 is a “short bore” bassoon that is known for being light and for offering flexibility and sonority in the upper register, which lends itself to expressive performances.

• Choice of hand-selected and aged red maple or mountain maple body with mahogany finish
• Silver-plated keys, posts, bands, and boot cap
• Available in standard bell or in compact cut bell / bass joint configuration
• German bell ring (synthetic ivory)
