A long day on the trail is much easier to handle when your Samurai is equipped with power steering. The power steering gear box from a 1989-1998 Sidekick or Tracker makes an excellent donor for Samurai power steering conversions.
They are easy to mount in place of the factory manual steering box with the help of a conversion bracket. Two bracket styles are available to make this conversion possible.
Flat brackets, the economical option, require some modification to the radiator core support and should be used with rag joint eliminators to compensate for steering shaft misalignment.
